The Downtown Fullerton Art Walk is where local art galleries and downtown venues host the monthly First Friday Art Walk starting at 6pm. The incredibly popular Art Walk brings hundreds of art enthusiasts to the streets of downtown Fullerton, where various venues host art exhibits, music acts, and performance art. There are over thirty venues offering free art activities and exhibition openings within walking distance of each other.
Violet Hour presents: “Here, Present and Now”
Join Violet Hour as they present “The Murder of Kelly Thomas: in Three Acts” by Michael Peter Magoski. Also featured are their many resident artists including Valerie Lewis, Rene Cardona, Shannon L’Claire, Steffi Moellers, EE Jacks and Prince Pat. Musical guests Ryan Steele, Dennis Lopez, Jeff Numainville and Bob Lexin will take center stage at 8pm. Mangular will be playing a late set at 9pm next to the Kitch.
PÄS Gallery presents: “Fun & Games”, the recent works of John M. Sollom
need to lighten up a bit? This painting’s for you. Who doesn’t cherish a little fun and games nowadays? Come savor a plethora of your favorite board games and around 99 bottles of beer on the walls of PÄS Gallery this August. John does it again with his contemporary americana subject matter parading his loose brush stroke in everyday still lifes. You’ll have a chance to interact and be jolly while playing games and sipping DC Brew from local Huntington Beach brewer, Dennis Chen. Josue’s photographs reflect scenes from everyday life in a public setting–the ugliness and the beauty. His lens is trained upon ordinary folks–friends, artists, the homeless, the man who recycles cans from Fullerton dumpsters. Through his pictures, Josue allows us to stop, look, and think more deeply about people we might normally overlook.This event is free and open to the public.
