A 6-course Bavarian inspired tasting menu with beer pairings, traditional polka band, and beer wenches promises to be a good time, benefit Arts for Hearts charity.

Early Bird—the award-winning brunch and dinner spot that brings innovative, chef-driven cuisine to North Orange County will be hosting a lively Oktoberfest on October 3, 2013. The Oktoberfest event will feature a mouth-watering 6-course Bavarian-inspired tasting menu designed by Chef Frank DeLoach, with delicious German craft brew pairings selected by Early Bird’s beer sommelier, Greg Nylen. Live entertainment from OC’s traditional polka band, the Polka Chips, will set the festive mood, along with drinking games with Early Bird’s beautiful beer maidens. In addition, the event will help raise launch funds for Arts for Hearts, a charity whose mission is to bring one-of-a-kind artwork to hospitalized children to help brighten their days.

“Excellent food, tasty and elusive German beers in traditional steins, a lively polka band, beautiful women in lederhosen, and proceeds going to charity…why would anyone miss this? It’s going to be a blast!” says co-owner Tank Menzies. “Building on the success of our special events, like Fried Chicken with Elvis, we will continue to do these unique dinners, building a sense of community in Fullerton and establishing traditions that we can all look forward to every year.”
For Oktoberfest, the price per person is $65, which includes six courses with six beer pairings and live entertainment. There will be two seatings—5:30 or 7:30. Reservations are required and can be made by phone (714) 529-4100 or via Urbanspoon.com.

 

About Early Bird

Voted Best New Restaurant in 2013 by OC Weekly, Early Bird was founded by lawyer and entrepreneur Tank Menzies and entrepreneur Marcelo Caraveo. Steve Sims of Bodhi Leaf Coffee is now co-owner and hand-selects each microlot to ensure the best coffee is served at Early Bird.
