As part of the Fullerton Public Library’s $10 million expansion project, the facility is installing solar panels. The project calls for two hundred and forty solar panels to be mounted on a 132-foot-long by 35-feet-wide support structure. The panels will be constructed in the parking lot of the library where it will provide cars with shade and the library with 84,300 kilowatt hours annually.

The implementation of this system is expected to save the library between $10,000 and $15,000 annually.
