Take a break from the Winter Market and learn the basics of juggling with members of the Fullerton Union High School Circus Club. No experience or special skills needed! Adults and children are welcome.

Led by teacher Christina Barnum Garner — a distant cousin of circus icon P.T. Barnum — students in the Circus Club have learned to master stilt walking, juggling, plate spinning, and balancing on a rola bola. The Circus Club frequently performs at school functions and community fundraisers. Their feats are always a treat, for both young and old.

P.T. Barnum: Fact and Fiction @ FMC Auditorium

An illustrated lecture by Barnum scholar and consultant Christina Barnum Garner. Learn about the larger than life figure behind the Great American Circus and his lasting legacy.

Phineas Taylor Barnum (July 5, 1810 – April 7, 1891) was an American politician, showman, and businessman remembered for promoting celebrated hoaxes and for founding the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Although Barnum was also an author, publisher, philanthropist, and for some time a politician, he said of himself, “I am a showman by profession…and all the gilding shall make nothing else of me”, and his personal aim was “to put money in his own coffers”.[2] Barnum is widely, but erroneously, credited with coining the phrase “There’s a sucker born every minute”. – Wikipedia
